We fit two Michelin Scooter Tyres to our wheelbarrows so that they can take much more weight when moving sand and gravel.

We continue to do everything we can to reduce costs where we can, but our monthly bills for animal care at the Park have increased tremendously in the last couple years. Everything from food and vet bills, staff wages, habitat enrichment, water and electricity, and maintaining animal enclosures etc for 1,200 + birds and animals here at the Park. Plus, precautions against bird flu which sadly keeps coming back to our local area for longer periods, has additional costs. So every now and then we add items to this donation list for key equipment used around the park by the Keepers.

Wheelbarrows work really hard at Paradise Park, helping us achieve so many tasks.

Keepers use them on their daily feed rounds transporting food and enrichment items for the birds and animals. They also take tools, equipment, plants and bark chippings around the site.

This amount of use led us to find super-strong Michelin Scooter Tyres and these are fitted to the wheelbarrows to make them long-lasting and so that they can take much more weight when moving heavy sand and gravel.

We had to condemned two wheelbarrows recently, and two kind people bought us two more, and so now we just need the tyres to make them long lasting and able to hold more weight.

The tyres cost £60 for a pair, (just one pair needed now) so there is the option to either donate £10 towards them or up to a multiple of 6 x £10 (it will reduce as donations are made).
